The One Nation , One Pauline money making machine has peaked. It has been a sham from day one. She may be thrilled but how many shattered lives has she left in WA.  We may find The Queensland Labor Party on the nose, the LNP no better, but at least they have party history and structure.  One Nation has peaked and the people are beginning to see through Pauline Hanson. She is the Shadow Minister for every portfolio, she is an authority on every subject and therein lies the danger. Do not vaccinate your children and yet her new Senator is struck down with measles.  The empty vessel must be marginalised. Its TIME!

Maybe Australia's on going problem is our (new) governments are elected on the basis of poor performance of  previous governments and not actual ability , which now can seen in the way that a government that can achieve mediocrity can be seen as good .

Seems as if we have a long way to go till this cycle is broken

@Trevor But you will never get a government that is going to satisfy everyone. Some people oppose a government just because they belong to a certain party, they can line the streets with gold and they still wouldn't be satisfied and then there are the people who whinge for the sake of whinging etc etc

'There's a lot of support for me'! Ego much? Hilarious! 4.7% isn't 'a lot' Pauline. It is even less than the Queensland share of GST you promised to give to Western Australia. Scraping in on the coat tails of the Liberals isn't really a win anyway. It comes across as desperate.

Pauline pretends she's the anti politician. Hilarious she's obviously trying to game the system. Any decent party wouldn't touch her with a barge pole. Her comments about the gst proves she's a hypocrite. Then there's the anti vaxxer, conspiracy theorist, bigoted elements of her party. Nope. She's done.

@Elizabeth  She's firmly in the grips of adoration for Donald Trump and is doing whatever she can to emulate him.

Pictures herself as an anti-politician and now decides to ban certain elements of the media (claiming they don't give her a fair go).

The wheels are falling off her cart and yet she merrily continues to claim all is well.

@David @Victor  Nearly all elements of the media are treating her as a joke. I just find it bemusing that she singles out the ABC for particular attention. But then if you consider that she thinks Trump is on a winner by banning certain news agencies in the US from attending press briefings, then it's clear she'd decided to take a leaf from his book.

They were convinced that he was going to stand up for them when the reality was he entered politics simply for his own benefit and achieved nothing for those who elected him. Big on promises and zero on delivery.

Well done WA.

One Nation should never be allowed to get a toe hold n this country.

Intelligence triumphs over division, ignorance and stupidity.

And more importantly - the Libs were thrashed.

Turnbull is now on borrowed time.

The baseball bats are ready - we want energy security, we want the rich to pay their taxes, we do not want corporate tax cuts, we want the enivronment protected, we do not want our energy resources shipped overseas and to receive nothing in return.

LNP - you should be scared, very scared.

Greg 32 minutes ago

I hope M Hanson keeps talking right up to the Queensland election, because every time she opens her mouth she displays even more clearly how little she really knows.  If anybody had any doubt about her before the last week, those doubts should be well and truly be gone now.  Her PHONy Party is a joke. They have no solutions to anything, have proven they have weird ideas (anti vaccination, Putin is a good guy, rip the GST out of Queensland, two percent flat tax which will collapse the economy etc), and yet some people still vote for her.  Wake up people.  You're treading very dangerously.

The timing of the QLD election has everything to do with how One Nation is performing and Labor's reading of that trajectory. I suspect that we'll go to the polls later now given the perception that the ON juggernaut may have peaked.

Because the PHON Party got over the threshold, they (Pauline) will receive $2.63 from the AEC for every primary vote obtained. Now that's a brilliant pay day, do your own maths and you will realise just what this amount is, even at 4.7%!

@Sheik Wratlin-Rohle , I have been calling for a Commission of Inquiry, into the One Nation, for years. The call is being echoed in WA also. Unlike all other commentators her, I have the back up material.  It was that that led her to jail.  This is a sham and must be held to account. It is being ignored.
